This last “Listening Session” to put on the record the environmental impacts of redlining as experienced by residents and former residents of these zip codes from West and Northwest Dayton: 45405, 45406, 45408 45416, 45417, 45418, 45427, 45428 and 45402 and the former 45407 which was absorbed into 45402 in 2004. Come early and visit the Chicago Freedom Movement Exhibit.It includes 1965-1966 color images of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, civil rights leaders, and demonstrators marching for “Open Housing”. The Fair Housing Act was signed into law on April 11, 1968, one week after the assassination of Dr. King. Additional details about the exhibit can be found here
